Oslo Accord: Video from Norwegian importer Bama’s recent 125th anniversary celebration, where five leading industry figures joined Eurofruit managing director Chris White to debate the future of the international fresh produce business. Panel members included American economist Jeffrey Sachs, Dole Food Company chief executive David DeLorenzo and Nature’s Pride CEO Shawn Harris, as well as Norway’s trade minister Trond Giske and agriculture minister Lars Peder Brekk.
Dole will not use, anywhere, any product banned for reasons of unacceptable health or environmental risk by the United States Environmental Protection Agency or by the European Union.
In an exclusive statement to Fruitnet.com, Dole responds to accusations in UK newspaper The Guardian suggesting chemicals used at its fruit production sites in Costa Rica included “some of the most controversial in the world”.
